Rotary Actuators : Power Transmission

The backbone of our power transmission product line is the standard frame size spur and planetary-type gearhead. Woodward MPC's power transmission components represent the best in high-precision machining; our rugged, high-capacity gears are cut to the highest precision possible to deliver the ultimate torque/volume ratio for airborne applications. Woodward MPC supplies a full range of gearhead sizes, from 0.500 inches diameter to over 7.00 inches diameter. We design these standards to 5,000 hours operating at maximum loads.

Woodward MPC's modular approach to power transmission design offers the aerospace industry much flexibility. The following gearhead types represent standard designs which have been flying on military and commercial aircraft for over 40 years.
